More of the beauty of fall..

We had another great day in Estes Park. We drove up Trail Ridge road to the tippy top of the mountain. It was a fun drive, we got to see all of the beautiful trees changing, a perscribed forest fire, and then above treeline we got to see SNOW! The kids were so excited. When we got up to the top of the mountain it looked like it was going to storm. We were going to go on the little hike up to the top of the mountain, but since there was a strom threatening we decided not to, and we were glad we didn't because it started thundering, and then snowing just a few minutes later.
The kids were having a blast trying to catch the snow with their mouths, and Jasmine was pretty intrigued by it too. Matt had to go to Berthoud to do some work in the afternoon so the kids and I had fun hanging out in the hotel. We watched some TV, ate some snacks, and then headed off to the pool. I think we might be crazy, but all Landon could say was, "Can we please go back to that cold pool." So I braved the cold with the 3 kids all by myself and we had a great time! Jasmine and I hung out in the hot tub. Landon has really started swimming well with his water wings and so he swam in the "cold pool", and Brooklyn was cleaning out all of the pine needles out of the "cold pool", and kept jumping back and forth bewtween the two. When Matt got back we decided to use the grill and grill up some steak, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and portobello mushrooms! It was a great day :)

Man, you are one tough girl and one cool Mom. I am impressed you would even tell him you were going to get in the cold pool.
