I know I haven't posted in a long time...I do have good intentions...poor delivery! The last few weeks have been super busy...cleaning. Unfortunately not my own house. I have been busy cleaning out our flip in Berthoud. I also cleaned out a foreclosure home for one of Matt's investors. It was quite a job...I can't believe how dirty some people are. It took me a good 35-40 hours to clean! But I must say it sparkles now...although I still go and look at it and think...I should have gotten that, or that really should get cleaned still. However, you do what you have to. Landon, Brooklyn, and Jasmine were all over at the house "helping" me...mostly making it harder for me to get the job done. Landon all of the sudden said he needed the bucket and the scrub brush. He saw me scrubbing the walls down and decided he wanted to really help me out. Well, after he did that, he told me he needed it downstairs. I was like, but I need it. I couldn't avoid his request, because he had an idea on how to help and he really needed that scrub brush and the bucket downstairs. I decided to let him have it...I had to carry it down for him. He was so excited to help. You see, the basement was unfinished, but the previous owners children had drawn all over the concrete walls with chalk. Landon decided he was going to scrub it all off. After he started he requested a ladder so that he could reach higher and really get it all off. It was so cute, he was so determined to get it all off. I went back the next day and he was back to work again. Both Landon and Brooklyn did such a good job cleaning and worked until they got the chalk off the walls. I am so grateful for the best Mom in the whole world. I am grateful that she taught me how to clean. I always look up to her and hope that someday I can be as loving, patient, clean, and as kind of a person as she is!
So, I have been super busy cleaning out all these other houses, while mine is suffering a bit. Last week we went grocery shopping and when I got home to put the groceries away, I started cleaning and organizing the pantry. Now, I would like to think that I keep it pretty clean and organized most of the time, but it had been a while since I went through and got it in tip top shape. Well...I was pretty proud after I had it just the way I wanted it and showed Matt...he was like, ya it looks nice honey. Needless to say, he wasn't quite as excited about this nice organized pantry as I was. The next morning the kids were up and we were getting ready to go have some cereal for breakfast. I opened up the pantry...it is a pretty good sized walk in pantry, when Landon got this look on his face. He got a big smile, and so excitedly said, "Mom, you organized the pantry, "...gave me the biggest, most sincere hug, and said, "Thank you, thank you for cleaning it, I love you!" He just melted my heart, and made me realize that my kids really do appreciate my hard work in trying to keep my house clean. I love my kids!

Your kids are so sweet! Good job raising them so well!
So cute! You are a cleaning machine Kristy! We really need to get together soon. Thanks so much for your help with the kids yesterday... you are the best!
Such cute kids! I miss them. I let my kids sidewalk chalk our unfinished basement once- not the funnest to get off, but we actually just used a blackboard eraser first, and then it wasn't too bad washing it off after. How sweet that your kids notice stuff that might seem like the little things. Tell Landon that will make him the best husband in the world one day if he keeps that up :)
What cute cleaning stories! Isn't it great when someone recognizes something you do, even though it's not the hubs;) (I think our families could be identical!)
