He is 5!!!

I can't believe that my little boy is 5 already! Wow, where does time go? It is kind of bittersweet. I am so happy that he is growing up to be healthy and strong, but at the same time it is so scary to think that he will be going to "real" school in the fall. All of the things that I can protect and shelter him from, I won't be able to do as well anymore. I love him SO much. I always want him to be kept safe. Landon is such a sweet little boy. I couldn't have asked for a better son. He is so tender hearted. He knows when people are sad and tries to make them happy. He loves to make little kids laugh, babies especially. Landon is so smart. He loves to count and do anything with numbers. He is a wonderful big brother to his two little sisters. I always tell Matt, he makes such a good big brother for little sisters. He isn't way into all the 'boy' stuff. He is happy to play whatever, it doesn't matter if it is Barbie or Hot Wheels. Landon loves to play Nintendo..and watch movies! I can't believe how fast these 5 years have gone and how much I just love him and all of my kids more and more everyday!

Yesterday we had a big birthday bash for our little 5 year old! We decided to hold it at our house down in the basement. We had a ton of fun decorating for it and put up streamers and decorations all over the basement. He decided he wanted to have a game/dance party. We played hokey-pokey, pin-the-tail on the donkey, had a dance dance wack-a-goomba competition, did a pinata, and wrapped it all up with cake, ice cream, and presents! We had a total of 17 kids! It was CRAZY, but all worth it for our little birthday boy! We love you Landon!!!

PS.I forgot to mention..he requested Green Eggs and Ham for breakfast...looks appetizing doesn't it!

Christmas Decorations...

We got all three of our Christmas trees up and going! I LOVE to get my decorations up, well I love having them up, getting everything out is another story, but I finally have it all up. I got the boxes up and then we all got sick with the pukers, so it wasn't until a week later that the decorations actually got all put out, but we are excited to have them up. I love Christmas time, I love all the pretty lights and the Christmas songs and the excitement of my little kids! They have advent calendars that now every morning Brooklyn comes in my room and says, "Mommy, I want to open my calendar up"! It really is fun. I think that this year will be even more magical for my children. It seems to be more and more exciting the older they get. I know their will come a time when that isn't the case, so I am trying to enjoy every moment of it that I can, while I can! Landon and Brooklyn each have their own Christmas tree's to decorate that they get to keep in their room. That way, I can have our family tree (really it is my tree), looking all nice and not like the kids did it. Not that that isn't fun, but I enjoy having our tree that looks all magazine like...okay maybe not that good, but I would like to think that it is pretty. Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope everyone is kept safe and well!

Thanksgiving

I have so many things to be Thankful for, especially this time of year. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and 3 amazing children. I learn so much from each of them everyday. I always strive to do my best, but know that there is always lots of room to improve on being the best wife and mother their could be!

We had a great Thanksgiving with lots of people. We hosted our first Thanksgiving at our house and had 22 people over! It was lots of craziness, and lots of fun, but all in all I think that everything went well! The food was amazing, thanks to my WONDERFUL husband who did such a wonderful job cooking. We both cooked, but I would say that he did more than I did in the food department. We made such a great team with cooking and cleaning though. After the yummy feast we ended up having 8 people spend the night with us for 2 nights. It was lots of fun, Landon and Brooklyn weren't ready for their cousins to go home. It was lots of fun to have them and Matt's Grandma spend some quality time with us. I am still trying to catch up on my sleep since we stayed up WAY to late every night. Then, on Saturday night I was up all night with sick little Brooklyn. She got the pukes, but I am happy to say she is doing much better now.

The next big thing I have to do is get out all of my Christmas stuff. I am so excited to get it all out, but not looking forward to digging through my storage to get to it. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

(Sorry I have no pictures..we were to busy hosting to take any pictures of our own, but I know that some of our guests took pictures)

Busy Busy Busy...

So we have been busy around here lately. We went to Utah last week on Friday to see my brothers. We stayed with Kyle and Kristi and had a great timem with them. We got there late Friday night...or maybe I should say EARLY Saturday morning. We got to their house at 1:30am..and then we stayed up until 3:00am...crazy us considering we had to get up with the little munchkins in the mornning, but it was fun. Then Saturday we went to lunch with my other brother and sister-in-law Brady and Carrie. We had fun doing that and then went to Disccovery Gateway and let the kids play around. Then we went and toured the conference center. I couldn't believe how big it was! I can't imagin having to speak in front of so many people. I loved all the artwork they had their too! It was fun. On Sunday we went and toured the Church History Museum. It was really neat to see. They had the death masks of Josep Smith and Hyrum, I thought that was neat. They also had a journal entry from Joseph Smith. It was pretty amazing to think that all those things were once in the hands of our prophet so many years ago and we could still look at them today. After the museum we went and walked around the Salt Lake City Temple Grounds. I always enjoy going to the visitors center and seeing the statue of Christ. I could really feel the spirit as I walked up the ramp to the Christis. I am so thankful for my testimony and to know that The Chrurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true chruch.
Monday we went and visited with my friend that grew up in Berthoud and now lives in Utah. It was fun to see Lacey and her 3 cute kiddos. Next we went to visit my old roomate from BYU Aileen. It was good to see her and meet her 2 sweet little girls. After that we went to Ikea and went shopping. It is a VERY big store with lots and lots to look at, and best of all FREE babysitting while you shop! It was pretty fun, it took us like 4 hours to go through though and I still didn't feel like we go to see everything! Then we went to the Pizza Factory for dinner and had so delecioius pizza and breadsticks and then played at the arcade. Tuesday morning we got up and went to breakfast with my brother Brady and then drove back to little old Wellington. We had a great trip, the time went by way too fast, but I will admit I an thankful for my nice soft bed...blow up beds just don't quite do it for me!

Now I am just trying to get everything all ready for Thanksgiving. We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year and having around 22 people over. Hopefully everyone will have a good time and I can get everything done that I would like to before hand so that I can enjoy the holiday with family!

No Way...

Guess what...I can't believe it......

She took her first steps today! She is my earliest walker I have had. I guess she wants to keep up with Landon and Brooklyn. Today I was cleaning up from dinner and Matt was like Kristy, hurry, look. I looked over and Jasmine was just standing all by herself, she took a little step and got balanced again, and then took 4 more steps! She did this a bunch of times after that. I can't believe she is only 9 months old, and already taking steps. I know that it probably wont be long now until she starts pulling herself up on everything and really walking instead of just taking steps. It is exciting and sad all at the same time. My little baby is growin up way too fast!

Kids Sports...

So, I have been meaning to post these pictures for a while, but I just am getting around to it. Landon decided that he was going to do soccer again this Fall...he did it in the spring (brrr), and I must say, Fall soccer is much better than spring soccer, as weird as that sounds, the weather was TONS better this Fall. They needed some help in the coaching department, so Matt volunteered to help out. He really, really enjoyed coaching, and even held 2 practices a week instead of the usual one. He did one regular practice, and then one optional practice. It actually was fun becasue we only had one kid show up for the optional practice every time, so we got to play as a family, and that was fun for all of us. I must say, Landon was a lot better this season than last season, he really got the concept better this time. If you haven't ever seen 4-5 year old soccer, you should go sometime, it is way cute. They play 3 on 3, because if they play more than that, it is a madhouse! Matt was the best coach ever. I was so proud of him everytime. He really wanted to be a good coach, and he wins the good coach award. He even handed out 5 dollar MVP awards during the soccer season (compliments of Sports Authority). All in all it was a wonderful soccer season...and although no one was counting...we were undefeated. Okay, so Landon would yell out the score eveytime they would score a goal, it was pretty darn funny!

Brooklyn has decided that she is going to do dance this year! I am so excited for her to do dance. It is something I have always wanted to do and be good at, but never really done a lot of. I took a tap class at BYU, and I thought it was a blast..but haven't done anything since then. I was thinking that it would be fun to do a class, but haven't really looked into it yet. Brooklyn is taking class with a wonderful dance teacher, who is an amazing price, and does a great job with the little cuties! It is so fun to get her all dressed up and ready for dance class. I love going and wacthing them. She gets to do tap and ballet. I think she likes tap better, but says she likes to do both. For Halloween they learned a little dance, called Monsters Holiday..and it was super cute. I videoed it on my friends camera, so I will have to blog it, if I can figure it out. She has a lot of fun, and I can't wait for the recital in May!

(I can't figure out how to get her picture on here right now, but I will hopefully get it uploaded soon)

Halloween

We had a great Halloween, and got LOTS of candy! It was so nice this year...I coudn't believe that it didn't snow. It seems like every year it snows for Halloween. Althought the snow always is exciting, I think this year I was just as excited that I didn't have to layer the kids up in bundles of clothes. Landon decided that he wanted to be Link...from the Legends of Zelda Nintendo game. Brooklyn decided that she wanted to be Daphney from Scooby Doo. She didn't even look like herself, it was so cute. Whenever she would put on her costume, she would act like a different person...it was pretty funny! Jasmine was a Bumble Bee with a cute little stinger! The kids picked out Thomas the Train for Matt. Pretty funny!
